Susan Davis is an acupuncturist and practitioner with more than 40 years of experience working with people and over 35 years working with animals. Drawing from acupuncture, Equine Positional Release, Resonant Attention, and a lifelong relationship with the natural world, her work centers on our inherent capacity for healing and the intelligence already present within us.

Life's Work

Susan Davis has spent more than 40 years exploring the conditions that allow healing to emerge. Her work brings together multiple traditions of acupuncture, Equine Positional Release, Resonant Attention, and decades of learning alongside people, horses, and other animals.

For Susan, healing begins with a fundamental trust in the intelligence already present within us. Rather than seeing the practitioner as the source of healing, she understands her role as bringing skilled attention, presence, and care to processes the body already knows how to undertake.

Susan has maintained a private acupuncture practice for more than four decades and has worked as a licensed animal acupuncturist for over 35 years, supporting pets, farm animals, and horses through illness, injury, aging, and change. Her relationship with horses, particularly her experiences working with wild mustangs, has profoundly shaped her understanding of attention, relationship, nature, and the ways human beings can learn to listen more closely.

Across her work runs a simple conviction: we are not separate from nature, and our capacity for restoration is far greater than we often realize. Susan’s practice invites people into greater availability to that intelligence, creating space for comfort, connection, creativity, humor, and well-being to reemerge.

She offers her work in service of that remembrance, and of a way of living that recognizes the well-being of people, animals, and the wider living world as deeply intertwined.
